Chronology of TCDC
- September 2, 2003: Thailand Creative & Design Center Project was approved by the Cabinet.
- May 5, 2004: Office of Knowledge Management and Development (OKMD) was founded as public organization, under Office of the Prime Minister.
- OKMD aims to be the umbrella organization for developing human resources.
- June 18, 2004: Eight divisions under OKMD are established, as follows:
- Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC)
- National Institute for Brain-based Learning (NBL)
- National Center for the Gifted and Talented (NGT)
- Thai Knowledge Park (TK Park)
- National Discovery Museum Institute (NDMI)
- Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCEL)
- National ICT Learning Center (ICT)
- Center for the Promotion of National Strength on Moral Ethics and Values (Moral Center)
- May 9, 2005: Construction of the TCDC was started on 6th floor, the Emporium Shopping Complex or 7th floor, Emporium Tower.
- November 14, 2005: The opening ceremony of the TCDC was presided over by Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
- November 15, 2005: The TCDC has opened its door to the public.
