Lecture by Dr. Cynthia Tyler, Senior Materials Specialist, Material ConneXion, New York

TCDC, in collaboration with Material ConneXion® Bangkok, presents “Green Materials for Ecological Design”, a lecture by Dr. Cynthia Tyler, Senior Materials Specialist at Material ConneXion, New York, where she conducts research in the Advanced Material Solutions Team.

Designers have the potential to reduce ecological damage through green product design. Ecological design involves examining the environmental aspects at all stages of the product development process. This allows products to be designed with the lowest environmental impact throughout the product life cycle.

Dr. Cynthia Tyler will introduce you to eco-friendly product design, including strategies that designers can use to improve the environmental performance of products. She will also address the criteria used in selecting eco-materials, especially the importance of third-party certification, along with a presentation of commercially available materials for eco-design from the Material ConneXion library.

Designers, entrepreneurs, students, and the public are invited to sign up for the lecture.
