Lecture by Mr. Ongard Satrabhandhu from Ongard Architects
A respected Thai architect Ongard Satrabhandhu created notable works – the Tamarind Village and Rachamanka Hotel in Chiang Mai province.

Ongard has been exhaustively studying history in architecture while he was taking a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at Cornell University and a subsequent Master’s degree at Yale University. His works, as a result, are distinctive with aspects of spatial quality, order, light and shadow as well as materials.

He will speak about the history, characteristics, and purpose of different courtyards, as were inspired by various civilizations and cultures, as well as how they may be applied to architecture in Thailand’s tropical climate.

Architects, urban designers, students, and the general public are invited to sign up for the lecture.
