Background

Ploy-Saeng Festival is a key activity of the “Creative Thailand” project launched in support of the government’s policy to optimize the nation’s competitiveness through constant development of a creative economy. Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC), an agency under supervision of the Office of Knowledge Management and Development (Public Organization) – OKMD, has established “Ploy-Saeng Festival: Create/Make/Earn” as an open platform for anyone who wants to showcase their practical ideas and creations that can grow into business. It also creates an environment for networking among the creators and people who are interested in their works, which will lead to next stages of development to make profit from them.
Fundamental Concept
Ploy-Saeng Festival is an open platform for anyone who has practical ideas and wants to presents creations that have three following appeals:

  1. Why (Inspiration)
  2. How (Practical Process)
  3. Wow (Attraction)

The key objective for each presentation is to address the question why that idea develops in the first place and how it would serve its purpose with a practical process, before the idea grows in a more tangible form into a “Wow!” creation.
