Over 200,000 students from 35 provinces in Thailand acquire the opportunity to access various types of design knowledge through miniTCDC aiming at local wisdom strengthening and creativity spark among provincial design students.

On Thursday, 3 March 2016, TCDC cooperated with Ubon Ratchathani University and 34 universities in miniTCDC network in the opening of miniTCDC project. The event was honored by Deputy Prime Minister, Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong, as a chairman of the ceremony. Deputy PM Prajin declared the vision in creative learning center development to extend the opportunity to regional Thailand and preparation of Thai graduates in AEC competition.       

Mr. Apisit Laistrooglai, TCDC managing director, stated that miniTCDC has revised its mission from “expanding opportunity” to “expanding collaboration” with regional education institutes by targeting that within 2 years, TCDC will collaborate with university network to expand miniTCDC, in both physical and online network, for easy access covering all 76 provinces in Thailand. This is to connect the creative industry network and become a drive force for the creative economy.
