When the world has entered the information era, computer and software play the biggest role in our non-stop communicating society. This change has led the huge leap in the world of industrial production line. Previously, all the good was hand crafted and inherited the knowledge from generation to generation within the closed community. But ‘the industrial revolution’ had turned the small scaled manufacture into a factory’s mass production.

This large-scale manufacturing age has presented an obstacle to small-scaled entrepreneurs who would like to create their products in a small number or just to build a mock up. The Digital Fabrication technology or 3D Printing offers a solution. With the printer’s compact size, 3D Printing allows entrepreneurs to produce prototype with shorter-and-cheaper process, or even to create the finish-lined product itself at home through user-friendly software. Furthermore, it increases wider range possibility of making the complex-structured object more than the earlier method.

In the near future, when the potential of the technology assists us farther and faster, the intersection of two lines, the imagination and the production, may come closer together and become more tangible.
