Based on this theory, KO Tsuneo has been creating various kinds of communication spaces where exhibitions are central. In his studies, he has been engaged in practice and research on “Museography” – museum-style presentation.

KO Tsuneo is an executive officer of Tanseisha Co., Ltd., a Japan-based company principally engaged in the survey, research, planning, construction and supervision of commercial facilities, permanent and temporary exhibition facilities, among others. He is also assigned as a commissioner of the Japan Display Design Association and a part-time instructor at Kanazawa College of Art.

In collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, TCDC presents the “How to Create Value from Space” lecture by Ko Tsuneo on October 20, 2010. The lecture will be conducted in Japanese, with Thai translation via headphones.

More about KO Tsuneo

KO Tsuneo graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Architecture. He joined Tanseisha Co., Ltd. in 1985. Since then, he has been planning, designing and producing various communication spaces such as museums, exhibition facilities, expositions, amusement spaces, etc. He became a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University Museum, the University of Tokyo, in 2002, and became a Visiting Professor in 2005, then became a Project Professor three years later.

In 2008, KO Tsuneo became an executive officer of Tanseisha Co., Ltd. He is also assigned as a commissioner of the Japan Display Design Association and a part-time instructor at Kanazawa College of Art.

Tanseisha Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company principally engaged in the survey, research, planning, construction and supervision of commercial facilities, permanent exhibition facilities, and temporary exhibition facilities, among others. Its commercial facilities include department stores, shopping centers, specialty stores and restaurants. The permanent exhibition facilities include museums, art galleries, science centers and various types of showrooms. The temporary exhibition facilities include facilities for expositions, fairs and exhibitions. Its other facilities include offices, hotels and amusement facilities. The company is also engaged in the import and sale of display equipment, as well as the manpower dispatch business, among others. As of January 31, 2010, the company had 11 subsidiaries.
