British Council, in collaboration with the 9richter, Glamour Inc. and the Thailand Creative and Design Centre, will organise a talk by Mikel Rosen, fashion visionary, and KTZ, the designers behind cult stores Kokon to Zai, on Thursday 29 October 2010, 14:00 – 16:00, at the auditorium, Thailand Creative and Design Centre. The famous designers will share their creative works and inspirations with the Thai audience.
Mikel Rosen is the power force behind today’s most famous fashion designers. His 25 years experience in the creative fashion industry ranges from designer, illustrator, educator and show producer to public relations and marketing visionary. Rosen taught at Middlesex University, The Royal College of Art and Central St. Martin’s School of Art where he mentored aspiring fashion students including John Galliano, Hussein Chalayan, Alexander McQueen, Giles Deacon, and Stella McCartney. Rosen will relate stories about his teaching experience and how he combines out-of this-world imagination with marketing opportunities to put on hugely successful shows.
KTZ brand is created by the designer duo Marjan Pejoski and Sasko Bezovski. They are the business minds that stand behind the retail network of the cult stores Kokon to Zai, based in London and Paris. KTZ is most well-known as Hollywood star designer. They designed fabulous clothes for superstars such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Beyonce, to name but a few.
Marjan Pejoski and Sasko Bezovski, the Macedonian fashion pioneers who bring the uber-hip retail concept Kokon to Zai (KTZ) to the streets of London and Paris as well as 30 other stockists worldwide. Marjan studied fashion design at Central Saint Martins College of Arts & Design while Sasko was studying constructive engineering. The major success of the Kokon to Zai shops is gaining NEWGEN sponsorship. That is the career highlight of KTZ. The stores were the starting point for the development of the KTZ label and 3 years ago, the label was conceived to fill a gap in the market for accessible, democratic, highly creative and unique fashion and ever since KTZ has been going from strength to strength. The label’s signature pieces consist of intricate workmanship and high energy prints mixed with individualist shapes.
