Disaster Preparedness Project expanded by Dynamic of Design and Art lecture

Join a lecture and mini-workshop by Mr. Hirokazu Nagata, Planner, Producer, Chair of NPO Plus Arts which is held as part of “Always Prepare: Living with Changes” exhibition.

Join a lecture and mini-workshop by Mr. Hirokazu Nagata, Planner, Producer, Chair of NPO Plus Arts which is held as part of “Always Prepare: Living with Changes” exhibition.

Mr. Nagata will introduce in more details the unique disaster preparedness projects in addition to those in the exhibition. And he will conduct a mini-workshop to give participants the knowledge and skills of disaster preparedness to be used in an emergency.

Projects introduced in the lecture include: – IZA! Kaeru Caravan

Mini Workshop of JISHIN ITSUMO program “BOSAI Stamp Rally”
A mini-workshop will beheld to give participants the knowledge and skills of disaster preparedness (or BOSAI in Japanese) of JISHIN ITSUMO program to be used in an emergency.

Programs:

  • Making Paper Dishes
  • Emergency Kit Quiz
  • Shuffle Thai and Japanese version
  • Catfish School Thai and Japanese version

How to participate?
1. Register and receive stamp sheet
2. Try four programs at each booth and get a stamp after completing a program
3. Collect all stamps and contact register
4. Receive an original prize for participation.
5. 5. Goods for prize

– Original badge (IZA! KEARU Caravan! or JISHIN ITSUMO etc.) – Always Prepare Handkerchief etc.
Get another chance to win JISHIN ITSUMO kit (LED light and whistle, handkerchief etc.) in a lucky prize draw.

Nagata Hirokazu
Planner, Producer, Chair of NPO Plus Arts

Hirokazu Nagata was born 1968 in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. He completed a post-graduate course at Osaka University in 1993 and founded ‘iop City Culture Creation Research Institute’ in 2001 (incorporated in 2006). He also established NPO Plus Arts in 2006, for which he serves as Board Chairperson, and is working on the promotion of disaster prevention education within and outside Japan for which he both plans and delivers various events, lectures and seminars. He also acts as disaster preparedness consultant to many companies including Tokyo Gas and MUJI.

Main projects include: ‘Iza! Kaeru Caravan’ (since 2005), ‘JISHIN EXPO’ (2006), ‘Save Yourself’ (since 2008) and ‘JISHIN ITSUMO + MUJI’ (since 2008).

Awards: The 6th Twenty-First Century Town-Making Award and Social Activity Award, The 1st MLIT Town-Making Award, Safety and Comfort Section (from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism)

2. On-site registration opens one hour before the scheduled start time. For those who have made advance reservation, please register to confirm your seat at least 30 minutes before the event starts.
3. This lecture is recommended for college students in faculty of arts and design, designers, creators and architects. Mini-workshop is recommended for every age.
4. The lecture and workshop will be conducted in Japanese with Thai translation only.
5. Parking fee is subject to The Emporium’s terms and conditions. TCDC will provide free 2-hour parking coupon for attendees.
