Many businesses choose to invest in their latest innovations or new technologies in order to attract more customers and upgrade their profile to be more up-to-dated and reliable. In contrast, few find it important to invest in something intangible like service.
Nowadays, however, the role of service in business has become prominent and “Service Design” can be the key to your success. Service Design means a holistic improvement of the entire business, instead of only the physical aspect, as it is led by user experience, both from the provider’s and the customer’s perspective. For Stefan Moritz, an expert on Service Innovation and Management, ‘Service Design helps to innovate (create new) or improve (existing) services to make them more useful, usable, desirable for clients and efficient as well as effective for organizations. It is a new holistic, multi-disciplinary, integrative field.’
