Every decision we make shapes us into who we are, and who we will be. Connect the dots to discover the future of your own design at the exhibition “Hello World!”
Living in a free world, every decision we make shapes us into who we are, and who we will be. And each decision, in turn, shapes the future of our selves, our community, our society and our world.
Are we going to speed up our lives, to keep up with change in the ever-faster world? Slow down, to make time for contemplation? Or make our own pace, on our own terms? How can we fuse “existing assets” with “new wisdoms” to create value and improve lives? How do we find a new balance between the dichotomy of technology-powered excess and natural resource deficiency? And what relevance will aesthetics have for human creation?
The more globalization and technology melt the world into one, the more being “different” and “better” become meaningful. The future, therefore, isn’t about choosing between sameness and difference, but rather about both things working together to generate new spaces for all of us to exercise our “values” and “wisdom” to give ourselves – and the world – a more creative design.
Connect the dots to discover the future of your own design at the exhibition “Hello World!” from 20 December 2013 – 23 March 2014 at TCDC.
