Introduction to Service Design Workshop Video
Recognising the important role of public service, TCDC has organized the “Introduction to Service Design” workshop to promote the use of “service design” among other government agencies to improve the quality of public service in various ways. The workshop was conducted by Prof. Birgit Mager, President of Service Design Network; Ben Reason, Co-Founder of Livework Studio and Julia Schaeper, Service Designer from National Health Service (NHS).
The workshop was held during February 14 – March 1, 2013 at TCDC. Participants had the chance to use service design process to work on the real problems encountered their organisations, which include the State Railway Of Thailand, Thailand Post, Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited, Baan Paew Hospital and TCDC.
About the Speaker
Birgit Mager is the founder and president of Service Design Network (SDN). Since 1995, Mager has been the first European Professor for Service Design at The Köln International School of Design (KISD), an institution of the Cologne University of Applied Sciences in Germany and become Vice Dean of the Faculty 2 since 2008. Since then, she has developed the theory and practice of service design constantly. She has conducted research projects on Service Design for the German Ministry of Research and Science and also collaborated with national and international partners such as Deutsche Bank, Siemens, German Telekom, McDonalds, Nokia.
